Warclouds
Vapour Trail
Vapour Trail
On Saturday in Dun Laoghaire the sky was filled with jet trails from high flying planes of a sort that I've never seen before. They were definitely not from passenger planes but looked like the trails of B52 bombers that I've seen on television. Of course warplanes are not allowed in Irish airspace so they couldn't have been, unless of course the Government is lying to us.

The trial of Eoin Dubsky on charges of vandalism arising from spraypainting peace slogans on a USAF aircraft at Shannon and here.

Another source of up to the minute information on the situation in Shannon is the Irish Antiwar movement - an organisation backed by The Labour Party, The Green Party, The Socialist Party, The Socialist Workers Party, Irish Socialist Network, US Citizens in Ireland for Alternatives to War, NGO Peace Alliance, Globalise Resistance. - who are organising an antiwar rally in Dublin on Feb 15th

The Observer had an article this sunday on the evidence that, in addition to US troops, arms and munitions are also being moved through Shannon, which is a breach of the Irish constitution. Unfortunately it's not on their website

Finally an Iraqi blogger on life under threat.
