Spook-Bot

The Spook-Bot is a robot based on search engine crawler technology. In addition to tracking the path of the "gate1.mcbbutler.usmc.mil" server Spook-Bot™in turn visits and indexes (in some cases downloads completely) all sites visited by this server.

Spook-Bot is configured with the identifier "Spook-Bot" so that when it visits military sites, which track all visitors, it will be logged as such, thus making a small insignificant intervention in the military webscape. This and the ongoing activities of Spook-Bot are a part of this project. At a future date logs of the sites indexed by Spook-Bot will be published on the site. All contact from military sources will also be logged.

Spook... is an ongoing project and new nodes will be added as we track new domains related to the initial tracking objective. Spook.. invites viewers to participate and nominate other domains to be tracked by Spook-Bot.
