Not net art is waking ear in which our blogger tells of the first song that came into his head upon waking.

The Flaming Lips have settled with Yusuf Islam aka Cat Stevens for plagiarising Father & Son in Flight Test. I mention this only because when the album first came out I said ‘that’s father & son, they totally ripped it off’ and everyone said ‘no it isn’t you’re just imagined it’ The point, of course, is that once again I’m proved right. Ha!
This is not to take away from the Lips who are of course great A fact that is dawning on more and more people specially after their show stealing stand in for the White Stripes at Witness and elsewhere. Proves again that old actors adage – don’t act with children, animals and the Flaming Lips

5 in a row
Lance Armstrong won his fifth Tour de France by a very narrow margin of just over 1 minute after 3 427,5 kilometres, he now joins Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain as the 5th to win five tours and only the second to win 5 in a row. The big question is can he do six?

Doesn’t patriotism begin at home?

As the Tour de France gets into it’s final week the amazing story of Tyler Hamilton who’s competed with a broken collarbone for almost two weeks and is still in seventh position.

In a nostalgic mood for a time when they didn’t let fools like me on the interweb, last updated in ’97 the “Ever Expanding Web Music Listing!” -if you’re in the mood for a bit of time travelling.
Don’t even ask how I find stuff like this, just be thankful that I share.
